Our Events Chef Shannon Smerdon (video)
Recently, we got talented local filmmaker Johnny Abegg to make a ‘last minute’ video on our Events Chef Shannon Smerdon. The video was a pitch for the upcoming professional series of Masterchef.
We gave Johnny only a nights notice, meeting Shannon at the Byron Bay Farmers Market to kickoff a day of filming and Shannon’s creativity with food.
This video is the result. We hope you like it.

Garden Curiosity
It’s always nice to be stopped by the simple.
Our resident gardening guru Dayne Sunshine was paused by the Deli’s main man, Matt Anstey by flowering Fennel. Getting lost in galaxy of atoms, Matt noticed a little preying-mantis. The two looked on and had a moment, while the restaurant patrons looked on and were like… “what the?”
