After a fantastic traditional japanese lunch, it so nice to be able to give the Japanese people some much needed support. Harvest in collaboration with Masaaki from Kitchen Saito has managed to raise a thousand dollars for the Japanese Tsunami victims. One of those feel good moments in this crazy world.

Food Lovers Event
Well, what an Amazing night, the Old Bakery at the Harvest Cafe just sang. 7 wonderfully fresh seafood courses, all served out of the 99 year old oven to 41 eager guest and I was one of them. Shannon really blew us away with courses such as Betel leaf with spanner crab, tuna tataki with black bean orange soy dressing, baked pork and prawn stuffed squid, steamed mussels in a spicy coconut broth and the glory dish of whole baby snapper seasoned with a turmeric marinade and steamed in turmeric leaf.
Shannon and the staff really smashed the night out of the park, I was privilege to be apart of it. We really feel like this oven is the heart and soul of the Harvest Cafe and it is so beautiful to see her beating so brilliantly again. These nights are something special, the food, the vibe, the staff and the most beautiful venue.

Two of Byron’s most talented young musicians and their bands open the the areas newest and funkiest music/function space with a bang. The Harvest Cafe Old bakery in the Byron Bay hinterland offered a crowed of 70 + great food, beautiful wine and comfortable table seating, live music giving the people of the area an experience to rival city venues such as the basement club in Sydney. The Harvest Old Bakery is setting is just so beautiful, 99 year old oven and refurbishment in keeping with the bakery, it’s something never offered before and now is available to everyone.
