The Chef & The Cheesemaker
On Sunday (Sept 23rd), one cute goat (and it’s yummy milk) hosted an entire workshop with Paul Wilson of Nimbin Valley Cheese, and one of Australia’s leading Fromagers, Lynne Tietzel.
This workshop, accompanied by an exquisite Lunch by Harvest’s Events Head Chef Shannon Smerdon, and fresh produce from the Harvest garden thanks to resident green thumb, Dayne Sunsine, lead to an afternoon delight of cheesy smiles.
The cheese of choice for the creative participants was Sainte-Billie, Nimbin Valley Dairy‘s interpretation of the famous surface ripened fresh Goat cheeses, typical of Southern France. This hands-on process, accompanied by Lynne’s discussion on the Australian World Cheese scene was a hit with all.

Harvest Helping Hand
Japanese themed lunch raises money.
After a fantastic traditional japanese lunch, it so nice to be able to give the Japanese people some much needed support. Harvest in collaboration with Masaaki from Kitchen Saito has managed to raise a thousand dollars for the Japanese Tsunami victims. One of those feel good moments in this crazy world.
